when you use the CD there should be an option to choose what drivers you install

but its better to just go on the website and pick the ones that arent norton and install those :P

I was wondering if it made a difference if I installed mobo drivers from asrock.  I am kind of suspicious of the CD because it has Norton on the bottom of it

Only the one for LAN. After that's done, go to asrock.com, find the drivers for the rest and download and install the newest ones from there.

Throw the cd away because most of the time the drivers are outdated and fuck norton and bloatware that comes with those install cds. It might make a difference depending on your hardware and what features the newest bios offers. I would update to the newest bios

no

you should NEVER update a BIOS unless you are having specific issues with hardware like an unsupported CPU

Lol, I like how that is what everyone jokes about. But when your USB ports aren't working and you don't have LAN yet - the CD is the only option. Best not to throw the CD for a mobo away.

Yup. Some driver DVDs even have a bootable Linux on them so you can later on use it to access your data easily if your Windows craps up. :D
