Pc not booting,no beeps, lights.

Eve

Hey lads and ladies,

Pc started being troublesome yesterday.

It won't boot, it just spins the fans and pumps the pump.

No beeps no display.

Screenshot_2016-04-14-18-26-09_1.jpg

I've ran the pc no problem since December.

I've unplugged the unpluggable, reset the resetable, and swapped the ram.

No joy yet.

I got her to boot a few times during this,  with one stick of ram. After adding a second, no joy. Removing it would result in the same.

Cheers for any help.

This is the current boot "cycle". Please note the lack of activity LEDs.

Cheers,

Artemis.

Pretty amazing stuff

Oh. didnt see you have 8 slots. I would say, if your using a TV, make sure you have the right imput and make sure you HDMI/VGA cables are plugged in correctly.

Aye, silkscreen on the mobo says it's slot no. 1. Manual confirms this.

I've tested on both TV and regular monitor, no changes there.

If you have another video card, try it. If you have a power supply laying around test that out too.

Its automatic, just press this button!

yeah without shouldnt work because this is a xeon. maybe the problem is that the cpu has only chad channel memory support. did it work at some time before?

Video card has been ruled out. I've done full voltage testing on the psu. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I got it to boot with one stick before, adding sticks after that made it do this again.

do you have another motherboard that will take your cpu? You may want to test the parts with another board  as it seems that that may be the issue

but if the combo ran fine before it should be the motherboard. if the cpu was broken it wouldnt turn on and spin the fans.

maybe try and rma the motherboard

well i would suggest doing an RMA on the motherboard unless you have another type of ddr4 that you can test. It sure sounds like a motherboard issue to me. Also try resetting the bios if you haven't already.

I suppose that's one of the few options left. I've reset the bios and all that stuff. No joy.

Does your motherboard support something similar to ASUS's bios flashback (flashing bios on boot from usb drive)? You might as well try it if it does. But before you RMA, try a different PSU even if yours appears ok.
