Compared to some models, not really. But it's still a fair amount tbh. Check this out? I swapped the case for a cheaper one with a window, since i presume that's something you're after, and threw in a better cooler. Also, a cheaper 980Ti.

Is there any way to put in a better CPU cooler in this build? The only things I want to keep is the case, keyboard, mouse, and processor.

Do you really need a Corsair 760T? You could save $60 if you go with an NZXT S340.

Why the need for such a pricey case?

Why the need for a pricey keyboard?

Why the need for a  pricey mouse?

I disagree, I often find games using more than 8GB and if you want this system to last more than a year the extra ram will become important in future games. Plus the price difference of 8 vs 16 is small enough to just do 16. If you're spending all that money on such a nice system are you really gonna do 8GB??

The evo 212 is just fine, if you change you mind in the future you can upgrade if you really want to. Are you really planning on OCing a new CPU that can handle any current game at stock without issue?

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Spoiler

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

Do you really need that expensive case? I would recommend something like the NZXT S340. It's a way better value for the feature and looks it has.

I was considering it, but because it looked like a black box with a window I avoided it. I'll try it if it's worth it though.

Case choices are very subjective. I just like the clean look of the S340.
