I was wondering how G-card companies name their graphics cards and how those names indicate what about those cards???:S

kinda like this---Gigabyte Nvidia GTX TITAN X 12GB DDR5 : The Ultimate Graphics Powerhouse GV-NTITANXD5-12GD-B PCI-E GRAPHIC CARD (1000 MHz, GDDR5, 384 Bit)...

I mean WTF:o
plz give me an overall concept of all G-card names..including Amd,Nvidia's other lower models etc.(because this thing is for millionairesxD)
TNX!

I think that the "GTX Titan X", "The Ultimate Graphics Powerhouse" are just names and what briefly describe the card. As for the other stuff:

"NVIDIA": Name of the company of course.

"Gigabyte" = Manufacturer.

"12GB" = Memory.

"GDDR5": Memory Interface.

"PCI-E" = The card is installed onto a PCI-E slot.

"1000 MHz" = Frequency of the card.

"384 but" = The card has a 384 bit width.

I'm not sure about "GV-NTITANXD5-12GD-B".

basically for each brand

the first number = series (generation)

second number = performance tier

third number = `-` (sometimes they're 5 or 0, but thats just for mobile gpus on nvidia as far as i know)

M at the end signifies its a mobile gpu

(AMD only)

X at the end means its a better card than the one without the X `-` (amd have messy gpu lineup with different architecture in a single series)

R9 is their top tier card, R7 is their low end card, R5 are potatoes

Firepro = their compute card, not for gaming

R9 Fury series = their flagship card

(nvidia only)

Ti at the end means its a boosted version of the card

GTX are their high end card, GT are their potatoes

GTX Titan series = helps raise your e-peen (pride)

Quadro = compute card, not for gaming

for example,

GTX 980 = high end Nvidia gpu, 900 series, 80 tier

GT 555M = low end Nvidia gpu, 500 series, 50 tier, 5 at the end prolly just a boosted version or something, M means mobile

GTX 750Ti = high end card (it was but its a low end one now), 700 series, 50 tier, performs better than the GTX 750 `-`

R9 390 = high end AMD gpu, 300 series, 90 tier

R9 390x = high end AMD gpu, 300 series, 90 tier, better than the 390 `-`

7570M = 7000 series, 570 tier, mobile GPU

R9 Fury X = AMD's flagship card, better than the R9 Fury

GTX Titan Black = a black e-peen (pride) raiser

K6000 = Quadro Card, for compute purposes <--- (basically if a gpu's model start with an alphabet with

W5100 = Firepro card, for computer purposes <--- several numbers behind it, its probably a compute card)

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
