I honestly would wait for the new GPU line comes out. Prices will drop for current CPU lines. Also, the i7-4790k is at 4.0GHz and isnt much of a difference. Yeah its future proofing, but is the extra 150$ worth maybe a 1-5% increase in performance that you most likely wont see?

Well he's gone with a 850 pro instead of an evo so I would presume he's someone who's passionate about reliability but doesn't want to back up xD

hdd is too expensive

stick with WD

cpu cooler and mobo is a bit on the expensive side,

gpu is way too expensive.

its supposed to be around $700 max

That GPU seems overpriced; I got the Hybrid version and it only topped out at $750...and that wasn't even on sale. It seems pretty far fetched that an air cooled one, even a Superclocked one by EVGA, would be almost a thousand bucks. On Newegg only ASUS tops out nearly a thousand dollars and that's cuz it's ASUS. Same holds true for the case. But price aside, the components look solid to me.

 

As a side note, EVGA just changed the chassis to their hybrid model and I'm now really jealous, it looks awesome.
