If this is a serious build, get 2 980ti 's instead of 1 titan X more performance and the cost is only slightly higher..

Well at any rate, what will you be using it for?

I would drop the Titan X and pick up a single 980ti, and change the cpu to an X99 platform. Maybe a 5820k or 5930k (probably the latter, more PCI lanes)

Welcome to LTT! Feel free to PM me if you just wanna chat, I love conversation!

I heard some games doesn't have SLI support and a lot of people said its better to get a single card rather than two SLI cards

I will be playing some games, and a lot of video editing, some CPU intensive work like file compression, video converting.

and I would like to use the 6th gen processors and Titan X. I know its not the right choice.

This is true, however a single 980ti (non-reference) outperforms a titan X in gaming, I do understand your point if you are going to do video-editing that 12 GB of vram may help.

this is more for all of the other GPUs, for the 980ti its better to go SLI since the titan X is only a few fps better but is FAR more expensive.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

More importantly I need to future proof it.. I need to keep this guy working for 3-4 years from now. And video editing is more important to me than gaming.. I need that Titan X.

Then you should get the 5960X, it's miles ahead of the 6700K in CPU works

Plus the 980 Ti isn't that far behind the Titan X in both editing and gaming anyway

Also since you will be working more than gaming, a 21:9 screen will do a lot more than 16:9
