Hi all,

I'm pretty happy with my current set up, runs all the games I play just fine. However I don't feel completely satisfied.

My current specs:

I7 3770K @4.2GHZ -

w/ZALMAN CNPS 9900NT cooler.

GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-D3H - motherboard

Corsair xms3 8gb 1333mhz ddr3 ram

ZALMAN HP750w - psu

NVidia GeForce GTX 580

2x 80gb Seagate hdd's - RAID 0 (no idea what specific hdd)

1x 1TB WD Black caviar backup hdd

I get around 60-80fps on games such as bf3, arma 2 on high settings

So yeah it's fine for what I do (mostly game) but is there any upgrades you guys would recommend?

like ssd, gpu, ram?? thanks :)

He's not satisfied, though.

Yes but either way a 580 is sufficient for current games.

Only thing I think that would really make a tangible difference is upgrading your graphics card and maybe switching your operating system to an ssd if manageable. If it's within your budget I would try and sell your 580 and buy a 780.

...(Assuming you already have a great monitor)

I am not sure what you are looking to get out of your upgrade but i would get one swiftech h220, Kracken X60, or a custom loop if you want to water cool your GPU too and one HD7950, HD7970, GTX770 4GB or if you got the extra change a GTX780 and 8GB of 1600mhz compatible RAM.

After i install the watercooler i would also raise the OC on the 3770k.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

Get a ssd. It's the most satisfying upgrade you can make.

I would say GPU...........But only if you are wanting to upgrade to higher resolution

gaming, such as 2560x1440 and the like.

GTX 580 is still a viable GPU solution.

Your best performance for your rig will be a good SSD for your OS and programs you use a lot, even games.   Try to get a a 250GB ssd if you are going to use it for some games.  Sometimes when your rigs working good but you what to improve performance you could get a new keyboard or mouse that can help with over all gaming, but only if you don't have the one's you like and comfortable with.

If I was to buy a new SSD today I would go with the Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, on Amazon its at £136.32, but there is other good ssd at the same price range.

+1 on getting a SSD. The Samsung 840 Evo series are a good choice for a SSD.
