How hot can a 110V 300W mica band heater get?

Bajantechnician

I have a project, and it has to reach to at least 220C

If the 300W one wont cut it, what wattage will? it has to be 120v(110v is acceptable i believe? correct me on that if im wrong please)

Thanks

Depends on the heater most likely.

From what I'm seeing, they should get up to 315c to 426c depending on the heater. (or sometimes even hotter)

If you're lucky, the supplyer will say how hot it gets.

That one gets up to 482C

depends

wattage =/= temperature

is your project going to be heated by the heater from the outside? or are you going to take apart the heater and wrap the coils around your project?

heater goes arround pipe. plastic goes through hollow center of pipe and melts

metal pipe, right?

it will probably work, but use some high temperature thermal pads or adhesive to properly direct the heat into the pipe, otherwise it will just dissipate mostly into surrounding air
