Noisy BT Home Hub 2.0

My grandparents BT Home Hub 2.0 is making a very high pitch squeaking sound. I'm guest something is wrong with it?

Its probably the power supply thats integrated into the cable

I think it is coming from power brick (on plug) but it is so loud, very ordable which I don't think it should be?

They degrade over time and can start to produce that high pitched noise, it will still work fine - but the noise can be annoying.

The noise may increase when the device is under heavier load (consuming more power).

 

The only fix I'm aware of is to replace the part.

 Almost as cool as my temps

they nearly never use it and it is used only when other people come round to their house basically.

 

So will just leave it.
