Car Vs. Motorcycle?

Would you rather buy a 10 year old car or a 2016 motorcycle (If both the car and the motorcycle are the same price)?

I would choose the motorcycle because my car runs just fine even though it's 17 years old (model years) and i already have a 2015 CBR300R

Depends on where you live. If you can ride all the time, then go for the motorcycle. If you can't, then go for the car. It would help if we knew what motorcycle and what car.

Well I've never ridden a bike (at least of the motor variety), so car for me as it the only one I'm legally allowed to operate. Also I'm in the UK, and I imagine biking in the rain to be pretty miserable.

I'm in the UK and before I started working at home all the time I rode my bikes in every weather and I don't mean a moped either. Both my R1 and my Fireblade have seen ice, snow and more than there fair share of rain. I'd be lying if I said it was always fun and to be honest when you've just done 500 miles in torrential rain it's hard to imagine being more miserable but that said I love bikes, I enjoy cars but I love bikes.

 

Word to the wise though, if you're new to bikes then start small and work your way up - the skills you learn will be the same but you're less likely to seriously hurt yourself. Buy proper gear and don't buy rubbish. You've only got one head so buying a cheap Chinese helmet off ebay is just stupid. Also I'd buy an old bike for your first one, it's going to be dropped so you might as well drop something cheap. On the same note, don't buy a fully faired bike as plastics are expensive!! 

 

If you do get a bike then good luck and please keep it between the hedges not through one!

Personally i'd go for a motorcycle right now. But a vintage one.

 

If you've got a car. Then the bike is nice. If not then the car is more practical
