Wait?

I'm building a new pc to autumm/winter I'm gonna use an AMD cpu but I heard the will release new cpu's in 2017q1 or 2016q4 shoulf I wait till they get release or should I continue with my build?

Build-

Cpu  Amd Fx 8370

MoB Not planned but some am3+ Soc

Ram prob DDR3 8gb sticks

Gpu R9 390 8GB 

Psu 800watt

These notes are pretty shit but u prob get the point here. Should I wait to the new cpu's? Or not and continue my build

dude the fx series came out in 2012 im pretty sure, its so old now that unless you have no other choice just wait or build with intel. I'm positive that processor will bottleneck an r9 390.

Yeah I was planning for an old i5 4690K but the new skylakes looks nice but the i5 6600K costs to much in my country... amd ddr4 ram too would go over my budget and I had to cut my gpu of to a 960 or r9 380/380x

Best to go Intel if you're doing it now. If you can afford a FX 8370 then you can afford a i5 6400 at the minimum.

 

Lower the PSU to a 650W and get something from SeaSonic, XFX or EVGA's B2, GS, GQ, G2 lineups.

Mate, that's not old, i have a 980x i7 from about 2006.

just buy an intel CPU

better than the 8370 and you dont have to wait for their next disappoi CPUs

i'd say if you're not doing strictly compute or multithreaded workloads your options are intel or waiting.

 

outside of compute bulldozer kinda has had its time by now..

The i5 6400 is too slow for my needs I was looking at the i5 6600K but the ddr4 ram costs too much for me...

Its like a 10 percent difference i wouldnt worry about it. 4690k is also a beast overclocker being on the devils canyon architecture, and ram speeds dont really matter for a lot of things.

What are you exactly doing? The i5 surpasses the FX in gaming for sure.

 

If you can't afford DDR4, grab a i5 4460.

Its just 1 choice the i5 4690K or i5 6600K with worse gpu

my general thing between haswell(refresh) and skylake is this:

 

go skylake if the price difference wont harm any other parts of the pc, if you have to cut corners elsewhere, cut down to haswell(refresh) first.
