Poop. Get the kingston, which is the same thing we've been recommending here for ages, and will continue to recommend until something better for the money appears on the market.

With the impending release of the Cloud Revolver, I would hold off. The other Cloud variants could drop in price, or it could be a significantly better headset for just a wee bit more. If you can tolerate waiting a month, that would be my advice. Check out some reviews, and the like, and go from there.

I would actually recommend AGAINST the Cloud 2 and instead grab the HyperX Cloud or Cloud Core... You are paying $30 more for a very shitty USB dongle, that's the difference... For the money, the Cloud 2 is simply not worth it when you can get an NVX XPT100 for $20 less and grab a mediocre mic for $10~.

No..... the Cloud 2 comes with a USB dongle, meaning you plug in the 3.5mm jacks into the dongle, then plug the USB end into a USB port on your pc.

Because it(The Cloud 2) comes with the useless dongle... Mainly marketing. Right now the Cloud is on Amazon for $67.90 and the Cloud 2 is $89.99, do you really want  to spend that extra $$ for a dongle?

Well, we'll see how that one performs.... But considering how game companies have pretty much put out nothing but garbage from in-house designs, we will see... The HyperX Cloud is a clone of the Takstar Pro80 which is a quality headphone, not something that Kingston actually developed.

As far as that Corsair, IMO not something I would go with since there are options like the HyperX Cloud.

That's a dumb reason.

Even if we ignore the fact that 7.1 is a gimmick, the Cloud 2 does it with a shitty USB dongle. Sound quality compromised by "tru serownd" will be compromised even more by the dongle.
