Kingston announces microSD action camera cards

Kingston has announced their new line of microSD cards that's designed for action cameras like a drone or GroPro. These microSD cards are different from their standard ones as they're waterproof, x-ray proof, shock proof, and can operate at much lower temperatures. It has a read of 90MB/s, write of 45MB/s, and can shoot 4K @30FPS or HD @240FPS. Comes in a capacity of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB.

Nice!  I'd rather have a really durable, decent speed card with a lifetime warranty (for the unlikely event that I need it) than some ridiculous capacity like 2 TB that no one should ever have in a micro SD :D

I get why but... i kinda dont see the need, all the microSD cards iv used to date (mostly sandisk extreme or extreme pro) have been fine dispite being put through hell...(water, impacts, sand, snow and ice etc)...

 

If there a similar price then fair enough but if theres a noticable price premium I just really see them selling.
