Review - TrendNEt TEG-082WS Smart Switch

Hi! Here is my review of the Trendnet TEG-082WS

 

(the WS is for web smart)

This switch is a smart switch, it allows you to configure many thing such as LACP, VLans, QoS etc....

 

All the ports are gigabit, and the switch can handle 16Gbit/s of networking, for full specs (there is no point of copy-pasting them here):

Pros :

-          Great Build Quality

-          Easy installation

-          Many Features (Even DOS protection)

-          LACP, Vlans, QoS and interfaces are quick and easy to configure

-          Good looking GUI

-          Clear logs and statistics

 

 

Cons :

-          Why put SFP ports that do not support 10Gbit?

-          8 ports is limited (not an issue for me, just did an link agreation to a bigger 16 port switch)

-          Firmware upgrade resets your configuration

 

 

Overall : 9/10
