Alright, I'm using an Intel i5-2400 3.1GHz, 2x2GB DDR3 + 1x8GB DDR3 RAM, and plan to get an XFX AMD R9 390 8GB Double Dissipation. The GPU can supposedly use over 400W if overclocked, though I don't plan on it. I'd like to keep it under $90 USD, if possible.

Lol, the GPU on it's own will never use more than 300W so have no worries there. Anyways....

For your system an EVGA 750B2, 650GQ, 550W+ GS/G2 should do fine. New or used doesn't matter but if you must buy used then look on Amazon. The Seasonic G-series or Antec HCG should also do.

So, I'm looking around for a new PSU, and, having used Cooler Master's calculator, am looking for something in the 650W range to cover a ~510W recommendation. I've found two EVGA models, one a fully modular 650W 80+ Gold, the other a refurbished semi-modular 750W 80+ Gold. Both have all the connectors I need, so I basically have it narrowed down to one question: Should I get the 750W for more overhead, or would the 650W be more efficient?

What are you powering? No PSU calculator is actually accurate.

From there give us a budget and location.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.
