Alright guys,he played a match yesterday..pick juggernaut,went 0-43-2 and now hes back to watching minecraft lel.

when i was 10 i played gmod

when i was 11 i played gta v

Im 12 i still play a combination of those

Isn't it your parent's job to tell your brother what he can and can't play? You should leave the decision to them. 

As far as I can tell it's not something you have a say in.

 Disable chat w/o him knowing? If he is watching Let's Plays -or online videos in general- he is learning some 'fun' words regardless.

Would suggest consulting your parents, my little brother learned some swear words just by playing minecraft and watching youtube videos, idk what dota will make him learn unless you disable chat

well, your brothers gonna learn swear words in the near future, cant avoid that.

and the dota community is extremely toxic.

but if he does want to play dota, let him practice with bots first before playing in pub matches

Sheltering him won't help anything that's not how you educate a kid: he needs to be aware of that shit and you need to explain that it's just the internet and that this is now how people behave in real life.

Within a year he will know them anyway. Just get him to understand to use them only in certain company.

The competitive side of me says "No please don't i have enough bad teammates as it is."

But the logical side of me says "Hey whatever i started playing cod at 9 and i turned out just fine."

I say turn off the chat and let him,although ask your parents first(Just show them what it is with the chat off).

Games are what got me interested in computers in the first place. So i think they do more good than harm.

When I was 10 I played Minecraft 1.6.1

When I was 11 I played Minecraft 1.7.2

When I started being 12, I played Gmod, Minecraft, CS:GO, Terraria.

Me now (Still 12) Plays the same games, but on LTT forums now :D

once i was 8 years old i discovered minecraft, 1.7.3 was amazing...

and then in 1.8 (first time being in creative mode) i fucked around for so much

and i was dumb and never knew how to update so the next version i fucked around with was 1.1

1.1 wasnt notable at all..

1.2 was fucking amazing i really got into minecraft...

i made a server c: i played tekkit with friends c:

1.3/1.4 i played FTB...

1.5-1.7.2 i played ftb

i stopped at 1.7.3 and then i started playing a survival server

and then i stopped in 1.7.10... 

and now im playing on a prison server and csgo
