You get up to 60 fps on 5960x1080, ultra/high in most games? If so, that's impressive.

I lied. I picked a 390, although I only have a 290.  But it is a TRI-X oc, so faster than reference and thus almost at 390 level or equally fast.....just not the massive vram.

I was surprised when I got my 4k monitor how high I can crank settings and still get my 60fps. And I definitely love the sharper image in contrast to 1080 with AA and high settings in comparison.

The reference difference between them (290 and 390) isn't that big at all, about a 5% improvement.

witcher 3 is the only issue I run into, and that's due to SLI profiles not being supported. Wrote my own profile in Nvidia Inspector, and with it on ultra minus hair works and shadows down a smidge I can hold around 40-50 depending on where I am, On Skelig right now it hovers 50, except when I went into a major storm with a lot of folks around doing their druid like things, it dropped to around 35. . .

Black Ops III which is poorly optimized, runs max out in triple surround locked at 100fps. Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain is hard locked on 60 maxed out (GPUs don't even run at the fullest). Fall out 4 maxed out holds at 72 fps (again custom made SLI profile thanks NVidia). And Project Cars maxed out holds around 100 dipping to 90 in weather. As long as the profiles support it, SLI 970 overclocked is a powerful combination.

I have to admit I wasn't expecting to see a 30Hz option for the monitor's refresh rate, before I remembered Dell sold a 4K monitor with that spec last year. (Idk if it's still around).

Painful.

3840x2160

60Hz

3840x2160

GTX770

i5 3570k @4.2

The last two question depends on the game. Some older games I play maxed out with 60fps, others I can only play on 30 on medium.

I`m waiting for Pascal/Polaris to upgrade my system.
