I just picked up an ASUS R9 290 Reference for a $100 with 6 months of warranty left, did i do a good deal here?

That's killer for the price, will easily outperform any new cards at the price right now and for a while. I would recommend looking around for an aftermarket gpu cooler, you can probably find a used one from another 290, or a universal gpu cooler, the ref. 290 coolers weren't the best, and a new cooler will allow it to run much much cooler, and squeeze out some more performance (no thermal throttling.)

Yes this is indeed a very decent price as long as you have a functioning card and warranty left. Though I don´t like the R9 290´s reference cooler it could be modded easily with a full cover block into a beast.

you should replace the horrible cooler on it, but the card itself is good :)

Ill see what i can figure out, otherwise i might just live with it :D

Yes. But wear ear plugs for the noise and stand clear of the afterburner blowing out the back. :P  (I owned one, I'm not joking... ;) )

In Slovenia used R9 290 are over 220€ -.-
