My pc doesn't detect a lan cable.

The cable itself is fine, the thing is my pc doesn't see it. It's working only after I unplug and plug in everything again a thousend times.

If it may be a problem with network card, tell me how to check it without an another one. I don't have any in my house.

I think you are missing drivers.

 

Download these to a USB drive and install them on your PC:

Windows 10

Windows 8/8.1

Windows 7

First, you should try to ping your network adapter. Run CMD > "ping 127.0.0.1" . Whats connected to the other end of cable?

All 4 packets were sent with 0% loss.

There is a wireless range extender that is connected via WiFi to a router

Are you sure the cable isn't damaged? if it is a fault in the MoBo port, you could try the warranty or buy a card.

As in the device picks up the wifi and tethers it to your PC or the PC picks up wifi and sends it to the extender to be broadcast? 

Perhaps it a problem at the other end(the device) such as low power, driver issue, or just crap quality?

The range extender and the cable are working fine, i checked it with my laptop. And the MoBo is like 3 weeks old.

Check the MoBo for damage or buy/borrow a rj-45 expansion card.

I don't have a week to wait until the card arrives.

The range extender may require drivers on the PC, those may have failed to install correctly on the problem PC but successfully on the laptop, wouldn't hurt to check. 

You could call/email you board maker and trouble shoot with them, new doesn't mean perfect, or buy a $30 usb adapter if you just need to get wifi to the PC.

I had a similar issue, turned out something in my network settings were borked. I installed Windows again and it worked. Is reinstalling an option? Otherwise try a spare hard disk and see if it works when you run windows that way.
