i dont see why would you use a 980ti without a 4k montior,

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mrxjP6

if you wanted a truly better experence for cheaper

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6p9pZL

980ti plus gsync is more $$ than fury plus freesync, even though the performance gain is THE SAME on both

I dont see why you paired an i5 with a 980ti.

if you want i5 and a 1080p or 1440p monitor

Consider a 290x or 970 for graphics.

i5 6600k has the ddr4 advantage plus better overclocking.

take slight consideration.

What I'm trying to grasp is why you paired such an expensive 240mm AIO (which is regarded as one of the best on the market) with a locked CPU you can't even overclock.

So yeah, try to get an unlocked CPU with a Z170 motherboard, or get a cheaper air cooler instead.

BTW, the PSU is overkill, shave off some cash by getting a 650 G2 instead.

Would an i5 4690k be okay?

It's fine, but the small price difference between the i5 4690K and the i5 6600K might make it worth going for Skylake instead.

You can't overclock on a B150 motherboard. You'd need a Z170 to do so. Get a less overkill PSU and a slightly cheaper 240mm CPU cooler that won't compromise performance:
