RAM shows incorrect speed . HELP

Go to solution Solved by DevilishBooster,

If I had a nickel for every thread I've read with this topic......

It's running at the correct speed. It is probably displaying 800 instead of 1600 because that is how this particular mobo reports it to the OS. I could be mistaken, but you don't have anything to worry about.

I have a single Kingston HyperX fury 8GB ram which I'm using for more than a year now.. I used it in 2 different motherboards with no problem at all. But ,  recently I bought a mobo from gigabyte it is a 970-Gaming G1 motherboard . I set the proper settings on the BIOS with no problems at all.. reboot and it's all working. But when I look into the task manager it says my RAM is only running at 800mhz, Same with CPU-Z , DRAM frequency 803 mhz . But when I looked again into the BIOS it says 1600mhz DRAM freq. What seem to be the problem? Help me out , Thanks in advance!
