De-Cancer-ifing Local Radios Website

So my local AM radio places website is COMPLETE and utter cancer, and so I took it upon myself to reach out to them and design them a new website, so here is what it used to look like-

Maybe add a static background? It looks off with just white.

Well I don't know if it helps but that top image is actually a slideshow.
