Ok you know the iPhone finger print scanner thing

 

I think it has 1 big flaw...

 

In my dads workshop , it has a finger print scanner on the door....it has my moms , dads, sisters , and my finger prints stored in it..

 

I recently cut my thumb ( i was cooking) and my sister burnt hers ( again cooking) ( my parents anniversary  we were making them breakfast)

 

both of us cant get in the workshop

 

sooo if the finger print scanner is like my dads one.....it WILL LOCK YOU OUT

 

your finger print changes ( a little bit)  when you damage your finger

Make a copy of your fringer print like they do in spy movies. Problem solved...sort of not really.

You can add a 4 digit password as well...

Apart from that, your finger print should heal back the exact same unless you really damage it. You will probably be able to add in more than one finger print to.

this will more than likely turn into the gimmicky "face unlock" that android implemented. yes its cool but just swiping your phone is so much easier. 

 

and who cares if your phones locked nowadays..the NSA sure doesnt...

You can scan all of your fingers into the IPhone 5s, so unless you lose both hands you should be good...

My big problem with the fingerprint scanner is that it won't work if you have your phone in a case.  Because I would never carry my iPhone around without it being in a case, this makes the technology pretty much useless to me.

Not really.

 

Face unlock is idiotic because of the inconveniences associated with it.  You need to be in a well-lit room and be able to look squarely at the screen.  Nothing more than a useless gimmick, hardly a security feature.

 

Fingerprint scanning is simple.  Literally place your finger on the sensor.  Unless you wear gloves very frequently (in which case you can't use your touch screen anyway) it isn't inconvenient at all.  And it's just as quick as swiping to unlock, especially since you can activate the sensor without even turning the screen on first.

 

And if my phone were to be misplaced/stolen and end up in the wrong hands, I wouldn't want someone to have access to my entire Google account and shopping services.  A fingerprint scanner offers security unparalleled by any other method, but is essentially hassle-free for the user.

when you reboot your iphone or dont use your fingerprint in more than (4hrs i think) it requires a pin
