What do you think of my specs :3

What do you guys think of my specs?

This is a fairly old rig that has been gradually upgraded over time and I have overclocked some of the components inside.

Operating System
    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
AMD Athlon II X4 640 (3.00Ghz Quad Core)
    Propus 45nm Technology
RAM
    8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 803MHz (11-11-11-28) (Kingston HyperX)
Motherboard
    ASRock N68C-S UCC (CPUSocket)
Graphics
    P206HL (1600x900@59Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 740 (MSI) (OverClocked to 1084Mhz, I know it's not much)
Storage
111GB Samsung SSD 840 EVO SCSI Disk Device (SSD)
465GB Seagate ST350041 3AS SCSI Disk Device (SATA)
Optical Drives
Optiarc DVD RW AD-5260S SCSI CdRom Device

What can I do to improve, I am on a very tight budget so I need suggestions from people with more knowledge than I have, thanks!

PSU?

It came with the case and the case is generic so is the PSU you but it serves me well, I will need ideas on what to upgrade too, I believe it is a 450w or 500w, not too sure, what should I upgrade too :P

Spent too much on ssd rather than gpu imo

I didn't choose my GPU, I would have got a 32GB to boot from and a better GPU but I didn't have any control because it was being fixed by my uncle and he did some random upgrades here and there that I only found out about when I got it back, what GPU should I upgrade too? (£50-£150)

to be honest i think you should consider saving up for a totally new rig

this rig is already too old to run newer games

but if you insist, i suppose you can get an R9 380

I think you should get a new CPU too, but if you want a GPU first then a GTX 960

I have definitely considered buying a new machine, but I always go to town with friends and spend ALL OF MY MONEY on stupid CPUs like Core2Duos trying to upgrade my TERRIBLE media PC, can you give me a spec list within £350-£450 for 1600x900 gaming?

I might just get a completely new motherboard with an i5 and a GTX 960 in a new motherboard + PSU with my current RAM, HDD and SSD.

you can reuse the ram, psu if its like 500w and above and its a quality one, case, ssd, hard drive, OS if its not OEM, and dvd drive. and then just build a new system

My PSU will definitely need to be replaced, the R9 380 looks promising, I want a new case for more cooling fans and space in general, thanks for replying everybody.

the 840 EVO is an amazing SSD :)

I guess maybe upgrade your monitor, peripherals or something? 1080P monitors used don't cost that much man

if you're gonna do this, get something based on the older Haswell architecture, it has better support for DDR3.

idk

Thanks, I'll bookmark that and start saving, it's gonna be more in the £500 range if I include a monitor, but that's my own fault for having a VGA only monitor >:( appreciate it!

If you wish to stay within budget and use your current parts (SSD HDD etc) take away the case. PSU is slightly overkill but still leaves room for upgrades.

idk

thing is, when new gpu release, old ones drop in price so you can snag better specs for your computer ;3
