CPU Spiking, Causes Mouse and Program Slow Downs.

So my CPU has been spiking up to 100% recently and whenever my CPU is under load it causes programs and my mouse to slow down and become unresponsive.

I am not sure why this is happening.

Anyone able to help?

Well have you looked what's happening in your task manager? Usually you should be able to find out what application is causing cpu load spikes.

CPU: i7-4770k (LM modded) - MB: GA-Z87X-UD3H - RAM: HyperX, 16GB 1866MHz - GPU: Palit GTX 980Ti Super - Storage: 1TB HDD + 500GB/120GB SSD (850 Evo/840) - Monitor: Predator XB271HU - PSU: 700W BeQuiet 80+ Gold

Forgot to mention it does happen even when it's not at 100% load but any jump in cpu usage causes it.

The only thing I have open that is using the CPU, as seen by task manager, is my one firefox window with 4 tabs open :S

Since your rig looks pretty beefy, why not do a complete Windows reinstall, it would sort it out for sure.

That's the last thing to do xD Don't want to go trough the hassle a fourth time ¬_¬ I'd have to install my windows  8 again first T_T

Ah so you are running win10 then? In your taskmanager look under more details under the processes tab and look at your background processes, maybe something in the background is flipping out.

Even better go to the "details" tab in the task manager and sort "CPU" and then see if something spikes up to the top. Keep in mind the "idle process" is just the percentage that's not being used right now.

On my surface now. Ipad was giving me grief. It might be your kernel freaking out whenever your cpu spikes. Try reinstalling any chipset drivers, or if nothing fixes it, reinstall.

My native language is C++

did you open task manager during that jump because opening task manager usually causes a big jump in cpu usage

No, I had already had task manager open to monitor my system. I had it set to always on top.

This image is now from the performancy issues which is happening as we speak.
