GPU 100% load for long hours

Go to solution Solved by Teddy07,

No problem, as long as it stays cool.

I use my gpu for a program called "Folding at home" which uses 100% of my gpu all the time for 6+ hours a day. No problem so far after a 3/4 year. My gpu is at most ~65°C warm.

Is it okay to have my MSI R9 290X to run at 100% load for long hours? I let my CSGO fps to go as high as possible to get the slight advantage over my enemy. Should I cap my fps?

It should autocap at 300, and you should just leave it there :) It should be fine as long as it has proper cooling
