Get the 5820k instead. Not worth the money for the 5930k.

I thought about that, but I was kind of wanting the 40 lanes just in case I decide to add another graphics card. That's why I'm looking at the overkill PSU.

But anything above 3 way xfire/sli is pointless.

if its built, then well done :D nothing much to pick on

if its yet to be built... (since its in the new build and planning subforum)

improvement:

Spoiler

- why the 5930k? unless you're going with 4 way SLI...

i wouldnt recommend 4 way SLI, no one would, 2 way is max, 3 way is a bit too much

- 2tb hard disk offers better value than 1tb most of the times

- the 900D is HUGE... not huge... HUGE!!!

i wouldnt recommend this case unless you're going custom watercooling

True, but won't the M.2 SSD take up some lanes as well?

yeah then youre saturating all 28 lanes of a 5820k, if youre using a third card. the 5930k is pointless.

8+8+8+4 is fine for the m.2 and 3 gpus, but i believe your m.2 runs off the chipset am i wrong?

Thanks, I'll downgrade the CPU then.

Apart from the mobo, what is crazy expensive?

a third card would be, since you wont get as much performance as from going from single to dual sli.

I will probably be doing custom water cooling in the future. GPU CPU, would go ahead and add it into build but the GPU water blocks are pretty expensive on EKWB.

Case, psu, and that nvme ssd. Bleeding edge ssd, so okay there is a price premium on it.

I don't know for sure. I'm fairly certain it runs off PCIe. Read something somewhere about overpopulating PCI slots would make the M.2 not work. I'm probably wrong though.

Went wild with the EVGA psu because back in 2013 I got a thermaltake 1000w that was pure junk. So I went for a higher price PSU in hopes for better quality. (childish logic, I know.)
