i3 or wait for i5

Hey guys just a quick question, should I buy a i3-6100 and a 950 gtx or buy an i5-6600k and wait on the 950 gxt for a couple months?

Man, what is your budget ? And also, you know, Pascal is coming in few months, maybe half year, maybe you should wait, and them by cheaper gtx 970 , but its my not professional  opinion .  Just my thought

i would suggest going for an i5... it'll last you way longer than an i3 and gives you a good gaming performance

 

on the other hand if you're really tied down on low budget, perhaps give us a budget so we can build an entire system?

If you really aren't dying to play games right now, then go for the 6600k, use the integrated graphics, and then get a high end GPU later on. I did that when I built my PC, albeit with the 4690k. However, I wouldn't count on Pascal being amazing. Also, with GPU releases, companies tend to release the more high end cards ( $350+) first and then move on toward other lower and even higher end cards.

!5 , games  are more and more becoming multi core friendly. so even if its a lower end GPU you still need to consider  a quad core.

The performance jump from i3 to i5 are so big that its worth the money. And if you are considering 950 i assume you already think about this, consider this, and already make a decision that you are going to use 1080p. And with that i would suggest getting a 960 2gb model just because the price difference isn't that far and the performance you get from the 960 is more for the money than the 950. Aka ( price per dollar for a 960 is a lot more that the price per dollar on 950) for more information about this, please watch linus review on the 950. But iam with @keavlar you should wait for pascal and join my quest and the others to wait on pascal!
