Not an official review or anything, just wanted to alert people of bugs that I've experienced with the brand new March security patch for Marshmallow. Just 20 minutes or so after I installed the update, I received a call and could not hear anyone on the end of it, nor could they hear me, though it acted like nothing was wrong at all (happened with multiple people on different networks as well). A restart fixed that, then after a couple hours I picked up the phone again and found that I had zero bars; no service. I always have quite good reception at home. I restarted and it was fixed similarly to the other bug, but it just happened again and forced me to restart due to a bug for the third time in about 3 hours. A bit frustrating, and I hope Google can get some of these bugs sorted out (I assume mine aren't the only ones).

Pretty doubtful it's related to security patches and it's probably specific to your device. It's probably device specific bug fixes that broke phone calls if the issue persists.

I have the same security patch on my device and calls work just fine.

So this isn't really news.
