What are your thoughts on Facebook?

 

It's awful to know everything on there is sold and moved around, but Android's group messaging sucks while Messenger is really smooth. As a musician/freelance recording engineer, it's great for marketing.

I think every single person who makes a statement along the lines of "I deleted my facebook and im so up happier now" or whatever has major issues with taking responsibility for their own actions and look for a scapegoat for their failures.

On Facebook or Facebook Messenger? I hate Facebook, I don't like how people use it in a way that is fake and the place is just unorganized(too much crap too). Facebook messenger is alright though, I use it quite a bit for people that don't like to text.

 I just deleted my Facebook account. I had nothing on there anyway, and it had been hacked twice.

 

Well, there used to be stuff on there that I had deleted all of when I realized that anyone could spy on my account and take anything from it.

I use it heavily, mainly because a lot of people I know are on Facebook by virtue of me being kind of older than most of you guys. Still most younger people (and ever older tech saavy friends) are moving to things like Whatsapp now.

The only good thing that Facebook makes is Messenger. I swear, once I get the SMS integration — that shit's gonna be my default messaging app. Chat heads are awesome, Material Design is awesome, all my friends & family use it. Just perfect!

I love Facebook - it does everything I need and more. It is platform that pretty much everyone I know uses so messenger is great to get hold on them via text, video chat, sending pics or any other type of file. 

Facebook itself has been great for our small business too - cheap promotion, connecting to local people and being able to see feedback. This specifically has been great - Google is good resource no doubt, but people know how to game it. E.G we're looking for wedding photographers and using google search we just get massively expensive big names who probably pay hundreds for SEO stuff to keep them at the top of rankings. Same thing on Facebook and I get local smaller, much cheaper guys who have easy to read reviews and feedback and I can see if my friends or family have used them or know of them and can contact the provider straightaway. 

 

Personally I have no issue with them using my data anonymously - it doesn't harm me or impact me in anyway whatsoever.

 

I think some people are just straight up cray-cray and seem to forget they have a real life outside of social media - they lose themselves in an online world that they seem to think controls them. It's no different than people getting too addicted to online gaming or gambling. Just turn off the screen. Your real life is right there.
