New PSU for a friend!

MadFrog

Hi all :)
I got a friend, and he is building an ITX setup!
He needs a psu, but the psu can max be 15cm long! And it needs to be a Gold certified PSU.

Do any know a good psu that fills these requirements?

sincerely, Kristian Gyde

Coolermaster V700. Great PSU

Too long, too powerful

(You don't want to block pretty much the only air intake for gpu + psu ...)

Im the one that needs a psu .. :)

The new RM series from corsair looks interesting, but corsair state them selfs that they are 160 mm under their specs :(

EDIT: For harddrives i will go with a Samsung 840 PRO 256 gb drive and a WD 1TB Green drive..

MrSuperb:

How many W will you think, the system will need? :)

you won't NEED more than 450 Watt. I would go with a 500-550W  (max. 600W) high quality PSU.

Budget?

Well keep in mind that down there is pretty much the only air intake for the whole case (I don't like that case for that reason)

MrSuperb, no the missing front fan is a problem i think, but i was planing to drill out a hole for a 120 mm front fan for better airflow.

I was just assuming that a 600 watt PSU should be a minimum because that was what nvidia was recommending as a minimum :) But lets say a 500 watt+ psu..

Budget is whatever it needs to be, to get the quality ;)
