That was not out after a whole pc, but just a whole passive graphics card like the 980 or 980TI :)

There is no passive cooled mass produced card like this on the market. You have to DIY something. But if you like, I can provide you the planes how it can be done.

Well I'm in the middle of building up a service making passive cooled PCs: http://unikumpc.ch/en/

It's not finished by now, but I can make a passive cooled module for you. Shipping a 20 kg packet from Switzerland to Denmark mith be a bit expensive but if you are interested...

Well , there is this :

link

But it only has a 130W Capacity , not enough for a 980.

You could mod this to work on a gpu , but you could also need small heatsinks for the VRM's and memory

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

It really depends on the price of the product itself ;)

As the cooling requires about 300 - 350$ worth of material cost it's not going to be cheap, sorry.

I recommend this solution up to a GTX960. The GTX970 is already borderline, a GTX 980 will overheat for sure.

Does it HAVE to be passive?

You could get a raijintek morpheus and two nocta nf-f12 ($100 total) (or even more silent fans).

That should achieve a near silent GPU. Assuming your case already have great ventilation.

Heck, if you're unlucky like me, the coil whine would be louder than the fans themselves.

Nice job man you have something good going for you because if i ever need to replace my current computer, i would definately look you up. I've been racking my brain for months looking for methods to achieve true silent pcing.
