Well even if the HDD in the Xbox 360 uses SATA, it probably wouldn't boot up because the OS is not compatible with anything that is not Xbox 360. Oh and likely the OS is stored on some other thing rather than the drive which houses the games. I think

So I have a Xbox 360 (aka shitbox) and I'm wondering if I can use the HDD in my main computer and boot of it? into the Xbox 'OS'?

Is this possible? or do they use some weird a$$ sata connection that doesn’t work with default Sata.

Not possible. The X360 had custom OEM CPU, GPU and board.

nope, xbox 360 HDDs are specific, normal drives wont work
