So I was planning to get a heigh end Skylake COU for my new build as even though it's more expencive now it only reflected not so long ago so I was expecting it to be the most up to date CPU for a while. I can't remember where saw it but I heared someone talking about new CPU's from Intel. Has there been any information about this? Is it worth going for a Skylake CPu if new CPUs will be releced soon? Any help if appreciated.

New Intel CPUs will come around the end of this year.
And to be honest, if you want to build a pc now, just take what's available.
Even my little older i7-3770k has a moderate overclock to 4.4GHz and runs as fast as a i7-4790k.

Its not like Intel made huge advancements with the last few architectures.

We'll have Broadwell-E in the next few months and that'll bring multiple six cores, an eight core, and a ten core extreme edition.  After that is KabyLake, Skylake-E, Cannonlake and then maybe Kabylake-E and then it continues.

Yeah the new CPU's based on how they perform will drop the price of the current chips for sure. A lot of people will be dumping their chips on eBay in order to get the new ones.

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

If you're going to wait for the latest CPU then you'll never buy one.

There's always going to be a new one in 8-12 months from the latest one. Same with GPU's, 12-16 months there will be a new one.

The best thing is buy the best now and live with it. I still have a 2500k from 5 years ago. Been running at 4.9Ghz and shows no signs of stopping.

It's not a race to the bottom.
