GPU Support Bracket

So my new Zotac Amp Extreme 980ti sags quote a bit, and one of these for $25 is a bit expensive.So I had an idea to cut my own out of a sheet of 2mm thick acrylic and use our schools new laser cutter. My question is weather 2mm thick would be thick enough and if you guys could think of any improvements. Thanks for the help.

2mm seems like it will be fine. 

 

Why not make one out of wood lol! I your school has a laser cutter, surely they have woodshop

Actually, all we have are two 3d printers and the cutter.

Not if you use an Ebony stain, it would be the coolest part of your system!

Ones that are 3 slots thick and are longer than you're case window?

One can get surprisingly good results with normal sized cards... Look up the XFX HD7950 DD, I had both of them suspended buy the cables. I cant find an image for you right now, but the cable ran into the HDD bay. It was actually the shortest possible run I could make with them

I'd make one like what you posted. If you do buy one get this Aluminum one from MNPCTech
