Mini Folding Heart Attack

So you know I only fold on my GPU for now until the colder weather starts to come in and its takes a good 5-8 hours depending on the WU. The 8900 projects take me at most 8 hours so I can't really do anything for those 8 hours. But at the last 5 minutes before the project was done my video drivers decide to crash for no reason at all and basically screwed up my folding client. Thought that it finished but it just stayed at the last 2 seconds for the next 5 minutes. I then restarted my computer opened back up the F@H client and proceed folding again but it still was stuck at the 2 second mark to finish but I just waited it out and 20 minutes later it finally finished. Gave me a huge scare because I want those points.

How often do most of you guys even fold? I was thinking having my computer do stuff while it idles. Probably for only a few months in winter while it's cold and the electricity bill is low though.

24/7 in my case. Got 2 graphics cards and a cpu all folding all the time. When I need to do something like game with friends or do some editing I pause my cpu and my first card. Second one never gets a break :P

If im not gaming my gpu is folding, my cpu almost always fold, even if im gaming ( older titles that dont really need cpu power ) 

I do turn off my pc at night though

I usually fold from after school till 11pm and that's usually only one WU on week days. On the weekend I usually keep it folding all night and day or until one of my friends ask me to play a game with them.

 

That happened to me and it just took a few minutes to get back on track :) I wasn't going to have a heart attack though.

Mostly got the heart attack since my video drivers crashed but it was all good.

A lot of guys only fold in the winter, because of the heat...
