Good Am3+ board

Hello, My current MSI 970 Gaming has broke due to VRM issues and I need a new AM3+.

Recently I got into overclocking so I want a nice board that can get me a decent oc.
I've got a fx 8370 and a DRP3 to cool it. I'm not willing to spend over £120 so if you can keep it under it'll be great.
I'm also thinking of selling my fx 8370 all together in order to get a intel rig.

What would you guys recommend?

I would get an intel rig or wait for Zen if you are gaming on the system. Maybe get a cheap board while saving up for a new intel setup.

ASUS Sabretooth 990FX, it and the Crosshair V Formula-Z are the best for overclocking.

I got £80 for the motherboard via return to the dealer.
And assume i can get £150 for the CPU (It won't)

What should I buy?

Go to ebay and pick up a 2nd hand sabertooth 990FX and overclock to your hearts content, they normally go for under £100 and worth every penny. Or you can get a new one from scan.co.uk for £124 I think.

My results.

If you are planning to switch I would save up to do a proper switch to a new gen i5 and a decent MOBO with some DDR4 Ram. If you are staying with the FX for a while the Asus Sabertooth would be the MOBO to go.

Being an early adopter of the new Zen platform might be more expensive so I'd (and AM) stick with FX for a little bit longer, like I've posted, the sabertooth can be picked up cheap on ebay, either the 1st revision or the latest one, doesn't matter they both will overclock his chip to 5ghz with good cooling like a 240-360mm AIO and a fan over his VRM.

Any other boards?
I think Gigabyte kind of looks ugly and the the cheapest I can find is £100 on ebay.

Yea, I've been thinking myself of getting a Sabertooth to my FX-8350 to get a decent OC. But I really hope Zen is something good, I'm kinda stoked about it. (Still wont be able to afford it at release)

Trust me when I say that the ASUS sabretooth might look ugly but it's performance is only beaten by the ROG board above it and that isn't by much... Overclocking your 8370 to 5ghz will net you good gains while gaming or you could hit 4.8ghz very easily.

Not really if you wanna push the OC. Most other boards will not handle the power delivering. I have a gigabyte that well, don't handle it to well so I can't really push my chip.

They don't sell for enough here in the UK, and the price of intels is higher, we don't have Craigslist in the UK either. £80 for a motherboard upgrade is much more easier than dicking around trying to find an overpriced intel.

I am very curious as to what they are, please share.

Decided to go Intel with a 4690k, what motherboard can I get for less than £140.

Need more at least 4 USB out the back and 3 USB on motherboard.
Should I start a new thread for this?
