He might be able to do a hard reset by holding the power button for 20 seconds.

Good point, there might be some more built in hardware commands.

Also, (OP) if you followed that tutorial you posted, you should have installed TWRP.

- ASUS X99 Deluxe - i7 5820k - Nvidia GTX 1080ti SLi - 4x4GB EVGA SSC 2800mhz DDR4 - Samsung SM951 500 - 2x Samsung 850 EVO 512 -

- EK Supremacy EVO CPU Block - EK FC 1080 GPU Blocks - EK XRES 100 DDC - EK Coolstream XE 360 - EK Coolstream XE 240 -

If you didn't make it to the point where you install TWRP manager near the end, then I do not see a way you could've removed your phones stock recovery mode.

Yes I don't think there is any way I removed my stock recovery. No idea why I can't seem to boot into one though.

Turn the phone off. Hold down power and volume down for around 10 seconds. That should get you into recovery.

No it's just a screen with a progress bar and says don't unpug USB from phone.

I've read other threads and people suggest flashing the stock kdz whilst in download mode using a program called LG Flash tool. But I get an error

That's worth trying if you can flash it.

I found this on Reddit, it's not ideal but it should show if you still have an anything on your phone.

Quote

Listed below are the steps I took to get the device to boot properly. However, it may have been luck that it booted at all...

1) Charge battery fully. 2) Plug charging cable into computer's USB. 3) Pull battery from LG G4 for a few seconds. 4) Plug other end of cable into LG G4 at the same time plug battery in. 5) If the boot loop continues go back to and repeat steps 3 and 4. Or alternate with steps 3 then 6. 6) Hold the power button and volume down button at the same time. Plug in the battery.

After a while this brought up the Optimizing Apps screen and once that completed phone booted successfully. Once booted, promptly enable Airplane mode. When I disable Airplane mode the LG G4 goes back to boot loop.
