I have these two setups and am giving one away which would be better for gaming and slight streaming? I am not just giving it away to some random person it is for a friend who asked very nicely for a start up pc and this is what I am willing to give him.

 

FX-6300 + GTX 750 ti

 

Pentium G3258 + GTX 950

can you fit an i3 and GTX950 build?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

well then I will try to do some tests on the fx6300 and buy an i3....  maybe a skylake build.... also it's for a girl

hmm for her use the i3 haswell will be more than enough

Well since your 6300 is clearly a monster you should hold on to that. I know for a fact the G3258 can't handle that.

Well since your 6300 is clearly a monster you should hold on to that. I know for a fact the G3258 can't handle that. 

You can have all the doubt you want but when a six core fx 6300 is clocked to 4.82 GHZ I think it can do pretty much anything

I don't mean just you being hostile there are countless others and I understand that the fx6300 far surpasses the pentium (but when the pentium is overclocked to nearly 5 GHZ like the FX6300 I have heard it beating in gaming performance hands down

So to be clear are you wanting to give the lower performing setup to your friend?

Are they gaming, and if so...are they streaming too?

 

Assuming you don't stream any more I would keep the Pentium.

Well they want to stream in the future not necessarily now. They are looking to just game for a while, get used to it, and find the right time during the day to start streaming.
