Hey everyone,

This is going to be my first build, I've been on the PS3 and PS4 for years now. It is going to be mainly used for gaming and some photo editing. I don't have any intrest in streaming or anything like that. I'm Interested in playing Star Citizen at 1440 with the graphics turned up to high with as many FPS as i can get. I want to be able to get into VR but I don't really know much about the specs they need. So if there is any special componants I might need for the VR any help would be great. I'm okay spending up to $3000 Canadian. Thanks for your time and help.

Where are you planning to order the parts from? I assume it's all from one retailer like Memory Express or NCIX or Newegg. If so, here's a slightly modified parts list all from Newegg.ca

That EVGA GPU comes with the VR 5.25" bay and it connects internally on the GPU via HDMI!

Went with SeaSonic PSU because they are the best out there!

Maybe switch that 1TB HDD for a 2TB since you said you're going use it for photography. You can get Windows 10 Home for just over $40:
