SSDs as cache for Adobe?

I'm toying around with the idea of what it may look like to use a PCIe SSD for OS and apps and re-allocating one of my SATA SSDs as a cache drive for Adobe (of course, while still using a regular HDD for permanent storage of projects and such). Anyone here have experience with a similar setup?

My dad's previous workplace used PCs with an 840 evo as an adobe scratchdisk, and that was all the SSD was used for. Now @0ld_Chicken owns that SSD it if I remember correctly

I'd be interested in seeing the results as well, I've been playing with the idea of dropping ssd's in there as scratch-disks because honestly... my workstation is gimped by its purely hdd storage structure

Yup! Still works great as a boot drive on my gf's pc. 

 

To OP. I don't use Adobe much but I use ssd anywhere I possibly can. My only HDD is used via USB 3.0 only when I need it
