Somehow add in a GTX 980ti

or replace the 970 with a r9 390(x)

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Your also spending way to much on that power supply. The computer only needs 372W yet your getting a 850W. Maybe look at a 550W so you have some room to upgrade.

You also wont need a sound card. If your looking to improve audio you can purchase an external Amp/DAC but considering the speaker price, sound doesn't seem to be your top priority, so I would remove the sound card.

My tower, mouse and keyboard costed me 2070 including import tax. You might wanna change that RAM for 4X4. Can save some money sometimes. Also for a 3k budget you should get a better video card, and sacrifice that sound card, as it is not that important.

Also, Knaj, you forgot the Case :P

I've updated some of the parts on here. Keep the info coming ya'll!

The PCI-E based storage looks a bit expensive, search around a bit, you can probably find one much cheaper

One more thing, Keyboard is not that important. You could get a 30 dollar one and be as good as with a 150 one :P Unless you really need the macros and RGB backlight and stuff. Focus more on the mouse though. Also, might want to look into Win10 Pro. Sometimes people sell keys for cheap. :)

This is very good. Unless you really want it take out the liquid cooler for a 212 evo. Correct me if I'm wrong but water cooling is a hassle. instead of a 3tb hdd just get a one terabyte SSD. Who the hell needs 3tb's?

I think for a comfortable gaming experience you would want a mechanical keyboard, which will run a lot more than $30.

I have never used a mechanical keyboard, so I don't have a say on it. But what I can say is that I don't see any issues with a membrane one. I use one all day and while yes, I would buy a better one if I had the money, this one does the trick :)

Also, remember a headset unless you already have one. You don't want people telling you to lower down the explosions and shooting and whatever else you will use it for...

For x99 you pretty much always need liquid cooling or a big tower heat sink because the i7 processors for x99 are 140watt TDP and most people like to keep their unlocked CPUs cool so they can overclock them

I gamed on a stock apple keyboard for years straight...

Also the CM storm devastator bundle is actually insanely good for the price (in my opinion).

I was doing this for a bit when i first built my computer, but then i switched to mechanical, and now i can never go back. Its so comfortable. Its hard to explain without actually feeling one, i never really knew what all the fuzz was about until i got to actually use one.
