What's with WCCFTech

Often when I see a tech new and review post that has information that seems pretty fake I'll see people say "even WCCFTech didn't report it so it has to be fake."

Why does everyone seem to think WCCFTech is so bad? They seem to usually be one of the first to spot Zauba listings for GPUs too so they seem OK.

Just curious.

They tend to report every rumour there is, often with titles like "Nvidia Pascal will have lazer sharks instead of RAM!". Some of those rumours end up being true.

When WCCFTech started out they would report on really sketchy unreliable things that were usually false and occasionally get some things right. They are much better now, though people still hold them to their old reputation

they actually aren't

they just use the information from another source without quotations or naming their source

 

this is why WCCF Tech should be completely ignored

I always find WCCFTech first. Usually other sites then follow.

Is it some sort of smaller site that usually publishes it first? That would explain why when I search it up WCCFTech comes up first for it.

They are a rumor mill.

 

When a rumor reports a false rumor, they loose credibility.

 

WCCFTech has reported on a lot of false rumors.
