What is the $800 USD PC

Max_Boston

Hey Guys,

I'm currently undergoing a project at school that is based around the best performance I can get from a computer with a Budget of $1000 AUD. ($800ish USD)

If you could spare some time and list some components for me that would be AWESOME!

Cheers,

Max :D

I'm asking for specific components.

I'm trying to build a pc that can handle gamming and video and audio rendering.

Hold up, this is important:

Just because $1000 AUD = $800 USD, DOES NOT mean that a $800 USD PC = a $1000 AUD PC

Prices in Australia are MUCH higher than they are in the US

http://au.pcpartpicker.com/ can give you AU prices

I went for a skylake i5, z170 mobo for upgrades, 8gb ram, an HDD and SSD, and an R9 390.

You can get windows 10 off like kinguin for like 20 dollars

keep in mind that USD 800 doesn't necessarily equal 1000 AUD.

try out something like a 4690k with a gtx 960 or so

should be able to make it come in under 1000 aud, and a micro atx build will be cheaper
