Which GPU?...

LordPugIII

Hiya...

I have a choice of 2 GPU's.

I am going to mainly be playing CSGO and have a 4690k processor w/ 16GB 1866mhz ram.

1: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kfa2-geforce-gtx-960-reference-4096mb-gddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-retail-gx-085-kf.html (Remember, this is a 4GB model!)

2: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00WHJJ86E

Which will be better, shall I go w/ the more renowned brand and only get 2gb or shall I go with a little more unknown brand and get 4gb? I know there is not much difference between FPS, but the 4gb does give a little bit more.

Cheers.

The thing is, NVIDIA gameworks games are not good for AMD gpu's.

But I want shadowplay...

For Cs:GO you won't need more than 2gb of VRAM, but the Kfa2 might be better for more demanding games. However I have never heard of the brand.

R9 380 is 15% faster. If you can live with a considerably weaker GPU for more money just for shadowplay then go for a 960.

in gta 5 the 290 won

The obvious answer with their CPU is 380, why are we arguing this?

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Why don't you try out OBS for low impact recording?

Check my avatar, I'm owned by a Pug too.

380 is a fantastic card, you'll be very happy with it. If you have the ability the 380x would give you a fully unlocked chip, worth consideration IMO. But not mandatory.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
