DirectCU II or Windforce. Both use re-designed PCBs.

asus direct cu II is normally a cooler quieter card then the rest but doesnt have the same stock overclock as some alternatives

if you wanted stock overclock performance you would be better off going for something like gainward phantom GLH or msi tri-frozer which is close to a core clock of 2ghz over the stock 1.7ghz which real world would make a difference.

but if you were planning to overclock anyway then the asus would be a good choice with its 'power bridge' or whatever its called delivering power better to the gpu. You could also get the tri-frozer with its 'reactor' thing o the back which basically does the same thing

if it was me i would go for the msi card just cause it would over clock better and if you were a quiet freak go watercooling

I love my eVGA GTX 780 FTW, out of the box it was boosting to 1110. Manual tweaking I run it at 1215Mhz when boosted and it never gets over 75C after several hours of gaming.

I know if I had the cash I'd splurge on an MSI 780 Lightning or an EVGA Superclock with that neat cooler.

I'm the one who overclocks.

Personal rig is rocking SLI DCU II's; loving them alot. Mostly got them to match my ROG layout, ACX is also very good as far as my customers are telling me. Those two and the new MSI one seem to get the most bang for your buck.

+1 for the EVGA GTX 780 SC w/ ACX http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CUIVSNS/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00CUIVSNS&linkCode=as2&tag=amzon0c-20 EVGA is one of the best Nvidia card manufacturers and THE best when it comes to customer support. The Galaxy GTX 780 HOF http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DZIFN4M/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00DZIFN4M&linkCode=as2&tag=amzon0c-20 is actually supposed to be the fastest 780 out of the box. You really can't go wrong with any of the top brands and their aftermarket coolers though Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA, MSI, or Galaxy would all be a good choice.

I have a 780 dc2oc. Mine idles 17-21c, stress testing it doesn't go above 65c. I have 1150Mhz boost 6608 memory. I was unlucky in the lottery and cant push it to 1200+/7000 like other peoples have.
