I got this problem, I didn't know since when but for sure it's annoying. What happened is everytime I opened YouTube and start playing some videos, correction A VIDEO, static sound would continuesly appearing in and out. I don't know what causes it, I have updated my web browser but I cannot really seem to find a way out. It only happens on youtube videos, movies, music on my pc is unaffected.

Install Flash Player and get a Firefox extension called  "HTML player disabler" or something like that.

BTW Wrong subforum, you had to post it in Troubleshooting. Some mods will probably move it.

It may be wifi signals messing with your speakers, videos can cause this as well as downloading anything. Try downloading something and see if that sound occurs when that is going on too. Or it may be something else, but I am currently going through the above mentioned so I thought that that may help.
