GPU Geforce GTX 670 Upgrade Suitability?

Is it worth updating a single (non-SLI) GPU Geforce GTX 670 (made 2012) to a newer generation GPU?

I'm finding hard to work out if there is enough of a benefit for replacing it with a GTX 970 or 980.

The modern games I'm playing are: Fallout 4 and Shadow of Mordor. My current budget is around $500 AUD.

I've attached relevant system info. Help will be much appreciated :D I'm a newb in regards to graphics card and a knowledgeable eye would be nice :D

there's a big improvement coming from gtx 670 to gtx 970. It runs cool and it runs fast, if you get the gtx 980 its even more faster.

what res do you play at? if 1080p and you don't have to for your ocd's sake have the best beast made the a 970 is king. a 980 is overkill for 1080 but if ya got the money and the itch...scratch

I play all my games at 1920x1080 and do not see myself playing in 4K for another 3 years or so.

Fallout 4 mostly runs at 60fps. But there are often textures not loading (blurred out). [maybe not enough VRAM]
