Which should I get?

Both are good depends really on what one you like better.(look wise)

Also from my experience OC gene from MSI cant do any thing you can already do

What ever fits your color scheme?

Both are good motherboards

gigabyte-(4x DDR3, 4x USB3.0, 10x USB2.0, GBE, LAN, HDMI)

msi-(4x DDR3, 4x USB3.0, 8x USB2.0, GBE, LAN, HDMI, VGA, DVI)

MSI has DVI/VGA if you use/care that

if you don't care about colour schemes, what do you look for in motherboard features..?

In my opinion, I'd have a preference with the gigabyte board.

You might face graficscard/other card imcomatibility because of forward facing sata ports on the gigabyte + it will look untidy compared to MSI's solution.  The MSI board has angled connectors. Just saying
