Guys, he has an awesome cpu, the fx 6300 and it has six cores so it can't be cpu bottle neck

Have you ever owned an FX-6300? I have, and that is NOT a good CPU.

Every one says it's bad, why, it looks and sounds awesome( the specs not the physical chip) and I have seen some benchmarks which look promising

The specs sound awesome? Compared to what? You can't compare it to Intel as they're running completely different architectures.

No matter what a spec list says, I've owned this chip and for gaming, it's garbage. Absolute garbage.

You mentioned that your GPU utilisation was at about 50% consistently, use MSI Afterburner to compare when your GPU is at low utilisation and what the rest of your system is doing. If you're CPU is maxed out, then you're experiencing a bottleneck. If your RAM is maxed out, that will be the bottleneck. However, if you can't see any bottlenecks, then it may be a faulty video card.

If the last scenario, I would see about putting it in a friend's rig and seeing how it performs. If it's the same story, RMA it. If not, then it's possible you have a driver issue or corrupted OS. Rebuild your OS and get all of the latest drivers.

Which reminds me, make sure you're running the latest Nvidia drivers before the testing.

If you need help on configuring the system stats overlay in MSI Afterburner, don't hesitate to ask. Google also has the answers.

This is speaking from personal experience, I would have to use that CPU again (which is still kicking around) and my GTX 960 to recreate the scenario I was seeing.

I'm not trying to shit on AMD's chips, they have their uses. However, for gaming, I don't believe (and I'm not the only one here) that they are a good value prospect.

So I get pretty much the same fps if not lower on low settings as people do on ultra settings in CS: GO.

note that theres fps cap in some games, tho its 300 for cs:go i think

if i were you i would perform a clean format with my com, but thats time consuming, so i recommend you to consult nvidia's customer service before you do this if u want to
